SHANGHAI, China – World Travel Fair, an annual event that features the world’s latest travel products and services, opened on May 9 at Shanghai Exhibition Center. This event welcomes over 550 exhibitors from over 50 countries and regions, and it’s expected that it will attract 8,000 professionals as well as 40,000 travel enthusiasts.

“B2B World Travel Trade Center” and “Global Tourism Carnival”, two big branded activities launched last year, were enthusiastically applauded by professionals and travel enthusiasts alike. “DISCOVER” at this year’s “B2B World Travel Trade Center” is meant to facilitate business talks on travel products. Regulators from Thailand, Malaysia, Czech, Croatia and France will bring to the event their latest offerings, while Columbia and Jordan, which will be represented as destinations for the first time, will be new worthy additions to the event.

“Global Tourism Carnival” can be best described by such key words as “entertaining” and “discounts”. Visitors will be treated to unique local cultural performances of various destinations. Key Chinese exhibitors will include Chunqiu, Jinjiang, CTS Shanghai, CYTS Shanghai, Shanghai Airlines Travel, CYTS, CITS, CTS, and CITIC travel. These suppliers will offer discounts from RMB 200 to RMB 2,000 on the site. A wide range of products for the months from May to September are available.
