Dans le cadre de son réseau 2023, Icelandair annonce aujourd'hui sa nouvelle passerelle nord-américaine : Detroit, Michigan. Les vols saisonniers de l'aéroport métropolitain de Detroit Wayne County (DTW) à Reykjavík, Islande (KEF) commenceront le 18 mai 2023 avec quatre vols hebdomadaires sans escale jusqu'au 30 octobre 2023. Le vol 872 partira pour l'Islande à 8h30 le lundi, Les mardis, jeudis et vendredis en Boeing 160MAX de 737 places. Le vol retour 873 partira d'Islande à destination de Detroit à 5h00 les mêmes jours et arrivera à 6h25.
La durée du vol entre The Motor City et l'Islande est d'environ six heures, avec des correspondances disponibles au hub de l'aéroport international de Keflavík d'Icelandair vers plus de 25 destinations en Islande, au Groenland, au Royaume-Uni, en Scandinavie et en Europe continentale. Les passagers d'Icelandair peuvent également faire une escale en Islande pour un maximum de 7 nuits sans tarif aérien supplémentaire, en route vers leur destination finale.

To celebrate this announcement, Icelandair is offering round-trip fares of $499* to Iceland and selected destinations in Europe for travel from May 18, 2023 – October 30, 2023, when booked by December 4, 2022. During the sale passengers may also choose to travel in Saga Premium class for only $999*. Sale starts today at 12:00 noon.
